  • Lizzie Stygall

    PROJECT DEVELOPER

    Lizzie has worked as a funding and projects manager with start-ups and SMEs, guiding projects ranging from sustainable transport solutions to deep tech.

    Lizzie believes cross-sector decarbonisation can benefit economies and public health as much as the environment around us. She’ll often be found representing Sheffield Energy Works at events and working on our upcoming pipeline of clean energy projects.

  • Lakshmi D Vemula

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Recent University of Sheffield Business Management graduate Lakshmi has joined our clean energy team as a Project Manager.

    He’s passionate about sustainable energy, community and practical, people-focused solutions that create long-term value. He’s worked with the team and project partners to develop financial and carbon-offset modelling, and bring our first Community Share Offer to life.

  • Judi Greenwood

    DIRECTOR

    Judi is a heritage, regeneration and retrofit professional with a broad network across the property and construction industry. Her most ambitious retrofit project has been a Grade 2 derelict town centre building in Conwy, North Wales in collaboration with Conwy County Borough Council.

    Judi has worked with Future of Greater Manchester and Women in Property to broaden participation in property and construction.

  • Matthew Killeya

    DIRECTOR

    Dr Matthew Killeya is an entrepreneur, campaigner and activist. He was Chief Investment Officer and Partner of Cantab Capital Partners and co-founded the Cantab Institute in the Mathematics of Information at Cambridge University. He is a board member for Energise Barnsley, a director of South Yorkshire Climate Alliance and a strategic adviser to the National Geothermal Centre.

    He has worked with politicians including South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard and Olivia Blake MP and is a fellow of the Labour Together think tank. 

  • Jonathan Hind

    DIRECTOR

    Jonathan’s 15 years of experience in construction and infrastructure spans strategy, pre-construction and end-to-end project delivery, including low-carbon infrastructure, hydrogen technologies and retrofit, working within joint ventures, complex governance frameworks and multidisciplinary teams.

    He co-founded Sheffield-based social enterprise SY Ecofit CIC as a way of driving decarbonisation and community wealth building across the region. 

  • Maggie Riley

    DIRECTOR

    Maggie Riley is a retired business owner. She ran a successful International Management Consultancy and Organisation Development business serving clients across the private, public and third sectors for around 20 years.

    Prior to that Maggie held Senior Management/Executive roles in the UK Civil Service, Manchester Airport and Barclays Bank. Maggie has also held a number of Non-Executive Director roles including as Chair of a local food poverty charity and Vice Chair of a Social Housing business. Originally from Scotland, she has made her home in Sheffield for around 40 years.

  • Simone Abram

    DIRECTOR

    Simone Abram is Executive Director of Durham Energy Institute and Professor of Anthropology at Durham University. She has lived in Sheffield since 2000 and worked for some years at Sheffield University as lecturer in Planning.

    She holds an undergraduate Masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and has a long-standing interest in energy and power systems.
